Francesco is a multi-lingual marketing and sales executive with a history of developing international markets. During over 20 years of product marketing in sales and management, he has consistently increased market share for his brands.
Francesco graduated Magna Lum Laude from the University of Pisa with an MSC in mechanical engineering. He joined Italian vehicle manufacturer Piaggio & C SpA in 1983.
In 1995, he was appointed General Manager for Piaggio Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, he oversaw the company's expansion into Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Singapore.
Francesco was charged with forming relationships with importers, join-venture partners and licensees. During his tenure, Piaggio brands became the top selling imported scooters in Japan.
In 1997 he returned to Italy as Piaggio's General Manager of Marketing where he oversaw the introduction of 7 new models. It was in this capacity that he started working with PLI on the extremely successful Vespa brand U.S. relaunch in 2000.
In 2003 Francesco joined Aprilia, Italy's second largest scooter manufacturer as General Manager for Sales. He increased European market share, while reducing credit lines and slashing DSO times.
Francesco started working more closely with Laitmon Inc, in 2006, applying his analytical and marketing skills to assist our European clients in expanding their distribution to the U.S.
